Google’s Les Paul Doodle

“If you’re curious, the doodle was made with a combination of JavaScript, HTML5 Canvas (used in modern browsers to draw the guitar strings), CSS, Flash (for sound) and tools like theGoogle Font APIgoo.gl and App Engine.”

(My IE shows an image of the guitar but no interactivity)

 

 

Meeting with the Board

I met with the Board of the Humane Society last night and showed them around the new site. Will set up some trainings for them on how to blog/ add content. It’s shaping up!

Creative by Nature

I met with a designer last week to show her how to implement her web design on WordPress. We started tinkering with Smashing Magazine’s Creative by Nature theme, it’s great not only do they offer the theme, but the source psd file as well. I kept on tinkering with it for the skin on my blog now.

Filling in the Humane Society site

We’re filling in the site with things such as the feed of available pets. They have this handy iframe tool to customize your feed. The other main things to tackle: donations and email sign up.

This Image picker should make non-techies have an easier time getting their images on the site. It’s completely customizable so can tier it to give all the options needed, but not overwhelm.
