I met with the Board of the Humane Society last night and showed them around the new site. Will set up some trainings for them on how to blog/ add content. It’s shaping up!
I met with a designer last week to show her how to implement her web design on WordPress. We started tinkering with Smashing Magazine’s Creative by Nature theme, it’s great not only do they offer the theme, but the source psd file as well. I kept on tinkering with it for the skin on my blog now.
Hearing good things about http://expressionengine.com/, checking it out to see how it compares to WordPress and Drupal.
It’s been great to have a bit of a sabbatical from working on environmental issues, but this makes me want to get back to work.

We’re filling in the site with things such as the feed of available pets. They have this handy iframe tool to customize your feed. The other main things to tackle: donations and email sign up.
This Image picker should make non-techies have an easier time getting their images on the site. It’s completely customizable so can tier it to give all the options needed, but not overwhelm.
